The Association is a Fraternal conglomerate of Professional Turf Managers, their assistants and a wide range of other turf related specialists who have a direct connection with the Golf Course Industry.   The Association we have today began back in the 1930's when regular gatherings took place between our Greenkeeping predecessors to discuss and exchange methods and strategies in search of the higher standards of presentation for their fine turf areas.   The NSWGCSA has grown considerably from those early days, but the objectives have remained the same.

Maroubra SLSC Maroubra Surf Lifesaving Club is one of Australia’s first lifesaving clubs. Established in 1906 the Club is situated at the northern end of Maroubra Beach in Sydney. Maroubra has a proud tradition of providing state of the art lifesaving services for the community, and arguably the greatest competitive history of any surf club in Australia. Aim Maroubra Surf Lifesaving Club aims to provide the community with a safe and secure dry land and aquatic environment.

"Nippers" is an activity-based program run to educate young children about surf safety and awareness when visiting a beach or aquatic environment. The nipper program also offers the participants the opportunity to meet a new set of friends whilst they are being challenged in activities controlled within a learning environment. Nippers interested, the program also introduces the competitive side of surf lifesaving

The club was originally established in 1964 and has since then gone under various names. MSRC - Maroubra Surf Riders Club, MSA - Maroubra Surfriders Assn,  MBA - Maroubra Boardriders Assn, Now back under the MSA logo.

Our new website continues to account for most of our enquiries to become a referee. When the website was relaunched early in the year, recruitment became a much more prominent part of the site and we are now enjoying the fruits of this. There are big plans for 2010 to bring even more new referees into the fold.
